Accounting, Tax and Advisory

Houston and Associates pride ourselves on providing professional accounting, bookkeeping, tax and advisory services that aim to streamline the processes of doing business. We simplify and minimise the complexities of financial compliance for small to medium sized businesses. Our services range from monthly accounting processing to bookkeeping to Balance Sheet. We also offer annual financial statement preparation and compilation services.

Our specific tax advisory services include the submission of the following on behalf of our clients:

Completion and submission of the ITR14 corporate income tax returns
Completion and submission of the ITR12 personal income tax returns
Calculation and submission of IRP6 Provisional tax returns for both companies and individuals
Managing SARS queries, objections and assessments
Submission and preparation of supporting documents and schedules for all SARS audits and verifications pertaining to:
VAT, PAYE, Personal Income tax and IT14 supplementary declaration audits for companies

Payroll

At Houston and Associates we understand the importance of ensuring that your human resources are paid accurately and on time, including accruing for all leave due. We provide monthly payroll processing services, which include the statutory submissions of PAYE, UIF, SDL; and the reconciliation and submission of your monthly (EMP201), bi-annual and annual (EMP501) employer declarations to SARS. In addition to this we prepare bi-annual IRP5/IT3a tax certificates for all the employees on your payroll.

CIPC Annual Submissions & Statutory Work

We support our clients with the comprehensive submission of Annual Returns to CIPC including beneficial ownership submissions and compliance checklists. We also provide council and guidance to new business owners and entrepreneurial ventures with all the statutory requirements for setting up a new business. Compliance with the Companies Act is becoming increasingly complex, and we can guide you with understanding and simplifying this process.

Our story began in 1998 with a highly qualified accountant, soon to-be-mom, and some friends desperately needing expert advice with their personal and company accounting matters.
